Great and sad romance recommendation?

I'm looking for a tear-jerking romantic film. I have a very high
standard when it comes to films. Typical chick flicks with bad acting
are a no.

For example I don't like "The Notebook" or "P.S. I Love You" or "500
days of summer."

I loved "Away from Her." "Lost in Translation." and "Before
Sunrise/Sunset"

Anyone have any recommendations?
