Spike Jonze's New Video Clip: A Skeleton Love Story

I usually trick myself into thinking Spike Jonze has directed a lot of movies. In fact, the amount is just three -- 'Being John Malkovich,' 'Adaptation' and 'Where the Wild Situations Are.A Possibly that's due to all of the non-feature work he's done -- six short films, numerous music videos, and a lot of skateboard highlight reels. For his latest project, a brief film known as 'Mourir Aprés p Toi' (or 'To Die Because Of Your Side'), Jonze explores the psyche of the skeleton, who endures the coverage of 'Macbeth' within the famous 'Shakespeare and Company' book shop in Paris. The 'Macbeth' skeleton -- who we assume rules Duncan of Scotland, due to the giant knife adhering through his chest -- falls deeply in love with a lady around the cover of 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' (Mina, possibly?). Also focusing on the short was designer Olympia Le-Tan, who produced the figures and assisted write the storyline. "We'd look whatsoever the artwork over lunch once we could be within the same city, observing any ideas that will simply make us smile. It had been done like this, without any real plans," Jonze told Nowness. You should check out the finished product below. [via indieWIRE] Follow Moviefone on Twitter Like Moviefone on Facebook
